He's also an huge fan of the IU Hoosiers and can often be found cheering them on during basketball season.

Mike cherishes the close bonds within our church community, finding joy in the connections and support we offer one another.

Alan Bundy

Elder

Allan Bundy, a devoted elder in our church, was born and raised in New Orleans. Growing up, he attended the 7th and Camp Street Church of Christ, where he was profoundly influenced by Bro. Richard Ramsey and Bro. Harry Prather. Allan was baptized in 1951 during a gospel meeting, setting the foundation for his lifelong commitment to faith.

Allan and his late wife, Betty, were married for 58 wonderful years. Betty, a beloved Sunday school teacher for decades, left a lasting legacy in our church. In 1971, Allan's career with Shell Chemical brought the family to Baton Rouge, where he worked for 32 years before retiring. In retirement, Allan has enjoyed spending his time bike riding and fishing.

Since joining our church leadership in 1991, Allan has served as the treasurer, ensuring the financial health of our congregation. He deeply appreciates the warm, welcoming nature of our church and values the cooperative spirit of our leadership.
Allan Bundy's dedication, experience, and love for our congregation make him a respected leader and role model within our community.

Ray Landreneau

Elder/Worship Leader

Phillipians 4:4-7
Ray Landreneau has been a dedicated leader in our church for over 30 years. He joined our leadership as a deacon in the 1990s and transitioned to the role of elder in the early 2000s. Ray is best known for leading our Sunday morning worship and teaching Bible classes.

Ray's spiritual journey began in the Catholic Church, but it took a significant turn when he met his wife, Lauren. Inspired by the close personal relationships with Christ he observed in Lauren's family, Ray decided to be baptized in 1974. In 1979, Ray and Lauren moved from New Orleans to Baton Rouge and became cherished members of our congregation.

After a fulfilling career in nursing, Ray is now retired and enjoys spending his free time fishing. The Landreneau family's commitment to our church is evident through their active involvement; Ray and Lauren’s children, Lani and her husband Tim, and Linden and her husband Lucas, along with their grandchildren, are also dedicated members of our congregation.

Duane Jolibois

Elder

John 10:28-29

Duane Jolibois has been an integral part of our congregation since moving to Denham Springs in 1990 from Bayou Jacque, Louisiana, with his wife, Becky, and daughter, Amanda. Now retired, Duane enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing, and values the close relationship he shares with his family.

Baptized in 1966 at the Christian Youth Encampment (CYE) in DeRidder, Duane was guided in his faith by Brother Stan Broussard and his Christ-loving family. In our congregation, he focuses on teaching the Bible and encouraging fellow members.

Duane cherishes the way our congregation treats each other as family and finds joy in the close-knit community. His favorite Bible verse, John 10:28-29, reflects his deep faith: "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand."

Pike King

Elder

Joshua 1:9

Pike King has been a valued member of our church family for many years.  Growing up in the area, he joined our church after meeting his wife, Lynn, who was raised in the congregation.  Pike has been a dedicated leader since 1995, and appreciates that our teachings have consistently stayed true to the Word over the years.

Pike and Lynn’s daughter, Elise, and her husband, Marshall Norris, are also active in our church, carrying on the family’s tradition of faith and service.

Larry Parrot

Elder

Psalm 23

Larry Parrott, originally from Houston, TX, grew up in Oakdale, LA, and moved to the Baton Rouge area in the mid-80s to complete his college education at LSU. Baptized in 1974 and raised in the Church of Christ, Larry has been a devoted member of our community for decades.

Larry was married to his late wife, Debbie, for 34 years and together they raised a lovely family.  Larry is now happily married to Donna since 2022, and his grandchildren Blake, Rhett, and Lexie are also active members of our church.

With a specific focus on youth and education, Larry has taught Sunday school for over 40 years, served as the head coach for our Bible Bowl team from 1993-2011, and directed the Senior Retreat at CYE from 1993-2018. He joined church leadership as a deacon in 1995 and has been serving as an elder since 2014.

In his spare time, Larry enjoys collecting coins and sports memorabilia and is an avid fan of both the  LSU Tigers and the New Orleans Saints. His dedication to faith, education, and family makes him a cherished leader in our congregation.

Tim Carter

Deacon

Proverbs 18:10
Tim Carter was born and raised in Louisville, KY, and made the move to Denham Springs for love - to marry his best friend, Lani, who is from the area.  Tim jokes though that it was both love and the food that pulled him to south Louisiana.

Tim made the spiritual commitment of baptism in 2003.  The following year, Tim and Lani were married, and together they've built a beautiful family with their children Andon, Jackson, and Kenslee.

In 2014, Tim took on a leadership role within our church community as a deacon, where he has since demonstrated a strong commitment to serving others and upholding the values of our congregation. Tim cherishes the family atmosphere of our church, finding joy and fulfillment in the close-knit relationships fostered here.

Outside of his church duties, Tim works in corporate safety and is a skilled practitioner of Six Sigma, holding the prestigious title of a black belt.
