I am so happy today. Yesterday our family van passed the annual state inspection and I got the sticker to proof it. I am good to drive our van around for other year. I wasn’t really concerned that it wouldn’t pass, but you never know. I am reminded of the dilemma that one of Sherry’s babysitting parents went through last year. She couldn’t get her vehicle to pass the inspection. Her renewal date had already expired, but since it was her only means of transportation to work, she kept on driving it. I remember her worry and fear of being ticketed. Every trip to work was even more stressful than the usual commute around Baton Rouge. Each of you knows all about the places on Range Avenue where the police officers pull you over if you don’t have a valid sticker. She had to completely avoid Range or drive it praying that the police would not be there. What a terrible feeling.
How are you feeling about your life in general and about your relationship with the Lord? If you had to face Him today and account for your life decisions and actions, would you pass His inspection? This Sunday’s sermon is entitled, “Our Life Pass.” Come to worship and celebrate Jesus, who is our life pass, and renewal your appreciation for Him. Maybe you are trying to live without Jesus. Come and heard why you should make Him your life pass.
Paul speaks to the SAINTS at Philippi (one of the first “who that?’ nations) and teaches them that life in Christ is sweet. God’s Word still speaks to us today. I hope that you will come and join the saints at Denham Springs as we all learn why and how Jesus needs to be what our life is all about.
